Dear Sail America Member,
Welcome to the brand new electronic version of Sail America’s educational newsletter, Waypoints!
Besides sporting an exciting, updated digital design, I’m pleased to announce that instead of a quarterly print edition, we will now be producing Waypoints electronically on a monthly basis. Based on our previous member surveys, Waypoints has been recognized as one of your favorite and most valued member benefits, so now you can enjoy the customized content much more frequently.
Each issue now includes one in-depth cover story produced by former consumer magazine and trade newspaper editor, and veteran Waypoints editor, Wanda Kenton Smith. In addition, we will also include a feature story in each edition by Dan Coughlin, a professional speaker and business expert who served as our keynote speaker at the 2008 Sailing Industry Conference.
I hope you will be pleased by this new approach to delivering articles designed to help improve your business and keep you on the leading edge of new business developments. This first issue is especially powerful as Wanda explores the world and advent of social media and network marketing, including interviews with several industry folks who are actively using this new medium successfully. Dan’s article on business management is timely and geared toward helping us to become better performers.
I welcome your feedback and your suggestions about topics that you would like to see covered in the days ahead.
Enjoy the read!
